Dear Music Lovers,

Spanning a 30-year period, the West Los Angeles Symphony presented outstanding symphonic concerts, featuring world-class conductors, soloists, and a professional orchestra, free of charge to the greater Los Angeles community. After much discussion, number-crunching, and reflection, we find it necessary to make the difficult decision to bring this labor of love to a close.

The post-Covid environment changed the Los Angeles cultural landscape immensely. Audience attendance is down throughout the city, donors’ contributions are stagnant, and costs to bring the production to fruition have increased dramatically.

We are extremely proud of the many once-in-a-lifetime moments we have created on the Royce Hall stage and at other venues. We are forever grateful to our donors and audience members and we thank you for your generosity and attendance over the years. Presenting these concerts has been an extremely rewarding experience and we will miss seeing you every spring.
